About

I've only ever designed one thing: the user's experience. Not how a product looks, but how it impacts the person using it, and how that makes them feel about the product, and by extension, the brand. Print, then web, then full campaigns, then product software, now AI. The surface kept changing. The job never did: can they find what they need, and does the experience respect them or make them want to throw the laptop out the window?
What changes is the lever that decides the answer. On a screen, experience was carried by information and interaction. In AI, it's carried by behavior: how a system expresses confidence, when it escalates, how it recovers when it's wrong. Behavior is where user experience is being decided now. It's the new UX, and it's the same work I've always done, at higher stakes.
So that's what I design: the behavioral layer of AI, how systems, products, and the organizations that build them act, earn trust, and recover when they're wrong. Most designers get frozen in the era they came up in. My approach never had to move. The technology finally caught up to it.
The arc
Agencies and creative direction, then founder of two award-winning design firms serving clients including Sony, Mattel, and Epic Software. Enterprise and consumer product across analytics, licensing, and media. Now, AI-native design leadership at a real-time intelligence platform that reads more than five trillion events a day, author and theorist of the behavioral layer.
Philosophy
I run design orgs the way I design agent systems: clear contracts, high autonomy, verified outcomes. Behavior is the unit of the work. Scale is the only thing that changes.
Org-leadership scope
I lead a globally distributed design org spanning UX, research, and content, and I partner with product and operations on design's budget and resource allocation. The through-line holds at every level: whether the surface is a single agent's expression of confidence or an entire org's operating model, the work is to encode judgment so quality survives speed.
